About the Job

As a Ruby on Rails developer, you will be working along a designer and will be responsible for driving projects from concept to a working solution. This is where you will spend the bulk of your time, but there will also be a fair share of work doing supporting work like maintenance, bug fixing, writing technical documentation. We take pride in our lean, efficient approach to product design and software development and we value high-level contributions from every member of our team. The right candidate will be motivated by the challenge of writing clean, maintainable code in Ruby and JavaScript to build and maintain mature, complex, and constantly growing software products.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, readable code to implement new features
• Resolve incoming bugs
• Write tests as needed to ensure that changes to code properly fulfil business needs
• Communicate with QA & Design teams to ensure accurate implementation of feature requirements
• Participate in group discussions about the patterns and implementations in the code base and how to continue to evolve those over time
• Collaborate with the team to innovate and fine-tune our current engineering processes to ensure the success of the Engineering team
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent hands-on industry experience
• Working knowledge of JavaScript. Knowing Stimulus is a plus.
• Experience with full web stack including HTML, CSS, REST
• Experience with Git and GitHub
• Experience with SQL backends, preferably Postgres or MySQL
