The VMware Worldwide Consulting Center is looking for Senior Site Reliability Engineers (Jr. SRE/ SRE/ Sr. SRE) with VMware Technology experience to help Customers across the globe.
As a Site Reliability Engineer ((Jr. SRE/ SRE/ Sr. SRE)) you will join SRE Team to help in delivering VMware Solution. You will be involved in building and managing Optimized, Automated, Stable and Reliable solutions for VMware customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
BS / MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
-
3 - 13 years of work experience in IT Infrastructure Services
-
Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering practices
-
Proven experience with VMware Cloud Foundation or VMware vRealize Suite
-
Proficient in Designing & Deployment of Virtualized Infrastructure
-
Experience in System Administration (Unix / Linux)
-
Experience in Network Administration / SDN (Software Defined Networking)
-
Experience in Storage Administration / VMware vSAN
-
Experience in Hyperconverged solutions management
-
Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Maven / Gradle and Jenkins etc.)
-
Proficient coder in any of Scripting languages such as Bash Shell, PowerShell & Python
-
Basic understanding of Java web services, Rest API & JavaScript
-
Hands-on work experience in any of Public Cloud Solutions, such as AWS, GCP & Azure
-
Experience of troubleshooting in complex environment (Server, Network, Virtualization, and Security)

Junior Site Reliability Engineer will:

Maintaining High Availability, Stability and Reliability of Services

Maintaining optimization by implementing & deploying Automated Solutions

Plan and Implement integration of extensible services and platforms

Work closely with development teams to improve maintainability and reliability of services

Develop and maintain up-to-date, clear, and effective service operations
-
Own and provide proactive service support by participating in regular on-call shifts
-
Identify, gather, analyze, and automate responses to key performance metrics, logs, and alerts
-
Handle seamless upgrades of infrastructure and services through automation
-
Ensure compliance of the Services with high security standards including inventory and access control monitoring and reporting
-
Cover a 24/7 rotational shift pattern if required
