About the team: The Connected Capture product suite consists of seven different product Assets providing Capture solutions across Enterprise Collaboration, Social Collaboration, Mobile Text & Voice, and Federal Archive. The products span a variety of deployments – on-premise, Public Clouds (AWS, Azure & Google Cloud) and hybrid.
As a Product Owner, you will steer the ideation, development & enablement of a product in Smarsh's Connected Capture portfolio. You will have a ringside view of the latest in collaboration technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, Bloomberg, Symphony, WhatsApp, WeChat, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Mobile SMS, etc. that enable millions of professionals at global financial institutions to be productive and stay ahead of their competition.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Product Owner, you will act as a guidepost for the engineering team throughout the development lifecycle for a SaaS product in Smarsh’s Connected Capture portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
Identify unmet customer needs by working closely with customers and cross-functional collaboration with market-facing teams. Determine features to include in the product that will help meet those goals and to grow product adoption
Grooming, Prioritization & Release Planning:
Maintain a continually updated product backlog based on evolving customer needs, business priorities, technology trends, etc. Refine and prepare the backlog for release planning. Contribute to epic prioritization and product roadmap definition
Groom and develop user stories by leveraging your understanding of the product, platform architecture and how it fits in the overall solution
Product Development & Acceptance:
Be accountable for feature acceptance criteria and make objective decisions to accept/reject work executed by the engineering team
Ownership / Leadership:
Co-own accountability for improving product COGS, maintainability, scalability, supportability, performance, and quality with software architects and engineering leaders.Explain and pitch ideas for new features to stakeholders
Prepare material required for training cross-functional partners in Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Service Delivery, and Support. Perform such training in partnership with the Product Manager. Collaborate with Engineering, customer-facing teams, and Tech Pubs to ensure that product documentation for assigned streams is up-to-date and accurate.
Triage product issues, bugs, etc. with Engineering and define solutions for resolution. Own the resolution and communication
Own the drafting and dissemination (thru customer Success) of customer notifications related to releases, product issues, partner updates, etc.
