About Position

OPENSPACE is looking for a technically savvy and experienced technical resource to serve as the java developer and be a part of a growing team of strong developers. With your technical expertise, you will manage Development, Unit testing, Code Review, deadlines and deliverables, identify risks and communicate them to the right people. You will develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance the application that exceeds client expectations in terms of value and benefit.

You have expertise in building secure, high-performing and scalable systems in Java / J2EE. Your development intuition inclines towards usability, elegance and simplicity. You have demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Skillsets

Mandatory: Java / J2EE, RESTful Web Services, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, HTML, CSS, MySQL
Nice to have: ReactJS, JavaScript

Responsibilities

End-to-end development, testing, deployment, maintenance and enhancement efforts
Report tasks to your reporting manager use of tools like Jira, OpenProject etc.
Matching the speed with a fellow team member and making sure about your and team work goes in sync. show a high level of ethics and teamwork
Understand the technical specification document and systems integration requirements document
Present Work status and issues to reporting manager on a regular and consistent basis in regular status reporting and status meetings

Requirements

Master’s or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Info Systems, or related field
1+ years of experience in scalable and distributed applications design and development also hands-on experience in designing and managing software products in the JAVA Frameworks
Excellent coding skills in Java
Expertise in common frameworks like RESTful Web Services, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.
Experience in managing, implementing and optimizing databases solutions such as MySQL etc.
Demonstrable experience in front-end tools and technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc)
Experience in building the configuration details for installation, deployment and configuration of cloud automation solutions on AWS
Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
Excellent written and oral communication skills, judgment and decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure
