OpenText is seeking a Software Engineer to work on the architecture, design, and implementation of the enterprise server protection product, which is of a large scale, highly distributed server protection product. This product covers backup of on-premises and cloud-based workloads. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 6 or more years of software development experience. The ideal candidate needs to be forward-looking and pragmatic in solving problems and must have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Worked on teams of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.

Must Have:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages.
Strong Java/Angular programming skills with experience in developing multi-threaded modules.
Must have worked on Java 8/11 and Angular 11/12/15
Writing JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Developing product analysis tasks. Making complex technical and design decisions for AngularJS projects. Developing application codes and unit tests in AngularJS, Java Technologies, and Rest Web Services.
Must know JVM Internals, Java Build Tools, Web Technologies, Java Testing Tools
Experience in web services (REST) and related technologies such as Java (reactive), Angular, Type Script, Spring, SQL.
Deep experience using debugging and dump analyzer tools.
Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.

Nice to Have:
Experience on Cloud.
Experience with Agile Development methodology (SAFE).
