What You’ll Do
QL Database/Database server Install/Configure/Decommission.
SQL Database Upgrade/Patch Recommend/Test/Install(2008 ,2012, 2014, 2016,2017 & 2019 )
SQL Database Monitoring of MS SQL Servers, space usage etc.
SQL Database Storage (Capacity) recommendation and Capacity management for Databases.
SQL Database Backup/Recovery/Refresh and backup tools.
SQL Database Security/Compliance.
SQL Database Maintenance/Purge.
SQL Database Disaster Recovery Plan/Procedure/Test.
SQL Database backups, Restore , recovery, and disaster recovery Plans.
SQL Server Migration and upgrading on-premises
Configuring MS SQL Server security and managing permissions
Build and configure HA (SQL Failover Clustering) active/active & active/passive.
Configuring and troubleshooting Replication, log shipping,& Always-On (2008 ,2012, 2014, 2016,2017 & 2019 )
Managing database object permissions, user accounts and passwords.
Creation of MS SQL Server databases and database objects.
Developing and implementing DBA maintenance plan – ola hallengren scripts.
Scheduling and managing jobs & alerts on MS SQL Server.
Database Performance Tuning/Optimisation/Troubleshooting
Managing reports and calls with clients on Critical Incidents and Changes for MS SQL servers.
Hands-on experience in Managing and Configuring Elastic Pool and Azure SQL Database.
Responsible for the migration from on-prem to Azure SQL VM and Azure SQL.
What You Know
Cloud migrations from On-Premises to Azure using tools like using DMA & DMS (Offline & Online).
Strong knowledge in T-SQL & Power Shell Scripting.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Role is to install, Migrate, implement, upgrade, and optimize the performance of databases.
Expertise on Microsoft SQL server having knowledge of oracle databases would be an added advantage.
Design and implement various backup and recovery strategies on multiple database environments. Recovery of database with no or minimal data loss.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Command on all versions of Windows Servers. Extensive understanding of various patch level compatibilities with database releases.
Good working knowledge on ITIL framework: Incident, Change, Release and Problem management.
Experience in High Availability Concepts like Always on, Mirroring, Log shipping, clustering and Replication.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering, Computer applications or related field
