Lantronix, Inc. is currently seeking a Junior Software Test and QA Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for quality, a laser-focus on detail, an aptitude for learning new technology, and will be a dedicated team worker. Good analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:*

• Performing testing activities, including functional, integration, system, performance, stress and regression testing, both manual and automated tests, to ensure maximum coverage.
• Triaging and diligently logging defects, including acquiring all appropriate logs and environment information.
• Liaising with the development and program management teams for issue resolution
• Generating software test reports and summaries
• Ensuring features work as designed and meet all requirement specifications.

Qualifications:*

• Diploma in Engineering Technology or Computer Science
• Requires a minimum of 1-2 years’ professional work experience in software testing
• Solid understanding of test requirements and test cases, test execution, defect management and reporting
• Ability to analyze and interpret requirement specifications.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
• Basic knowledge of Android OS
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Individual initiative and resourcefulness
• Knowledge of test case management and defect tracking tool

Advantageous Skills:*

• Experience with TestRail for test case management
• Experience with Android OS logging and diagnostics
• Exposure to embedded testing
• Basic scripting skills (Perl, Python, Java, etc.)
