IoT Experiences is a team of UX architects, designers, researchers, and writers within Intel's Internet of Things Group. One of our team's key priorities is to ensure that Intel's Internet of Things platforms delivers a fantastic developer experience. We are looking for a UX Researcher who can define an industry-leading developer experience for Intel's IoT Intel Edge Insights for Industrial and Intel Edge Controls for Industrial software. The position will give you a unique opportunity to shape the future of Industrial Software in Intel IOTG. JOB DESCRIPTION � Specific responsibilities run the gamut from performing research and user testing to defining key personas and associated usage scenarios for IoT developers and end-users. You must be hands-on and have the needed mix of UX skills and leadership qualities to enroll your technical colleagues in pursuing developer experience excellence, lead design sessions, evaluate the resulting usages, refine them for a range of IoT developers/users and drive your results into product planning and execution. � You will define research strategy success metrics, conduct user studies, create differentiation strategies for Intel enabled experiences, and develop partnership strategies that include internal and external stakeholders. � Areas of focus may evolve during the assignment but are expected to include design, execution, and analysis results of qualitative and quantitative user studies centered on assessing Intel HW and SW and focusing on attitudinal and behavioral aspects of the developer experience. � Work with teams across Intel to implement changes (functional and non-functional requirements) that will positively impact developer experience both near and in longer-term strategies. � Work in close collaboration with India and US-based UX/DX teams to ensure maximum impact of research and activities. � Support the creation of experience differentiation and partner roadmaps/strategies for developers that identify the transformative experiences that would provide Intel with a competitive edge in the region. � Iterate our existing developer personas to comprehend developers and create requirements to meet multiple developer value propositions (e.g. 'plug and play', 'utility', 'consistency', 'flexibility', etc.), and the framework for evaluation and competitive analysis. � Contribute to developing and utilizing advanced Developer Experience Assessment techniques and define common frameworks for repeatability and scalability. � Lead and manage vendor engagements supporting UX/DX deliverables, including research studies, interaction and visual design, and technical writing. � Patent documentation and participation in patent harvesting sessions.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS � M.S. or PhD in Human-computer Interaction, Design, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, or related field � 7+ years' experience practicing UX research and human factors engineering � Excellent communication and presentation skills that facilitate enrollment of senior management to act based on UX findings � Experience researching with developers in one or more IoT market segments � Track record of defining and connecting large-scale, technology-intensive solutions and innovative business models with desired user experience. Experience creating detailed experience architecture with direct ties to complete solution architecture and driving discussions to close usage/technology/business ambiguity. � Willingness to take calculated risks and stretch to achieve ambitious goals � Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills paired with creativity. � Strong influencing skills with a range of business partners inside and outside Intel � Excellent written/verbal English communication and presentation skills � High tolerance for a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing priorities INSIDE THE INTERNET OF THINGS GROUP The Internet of Things Group (IOTG) consists of appx. 4700 dedicated employees across 25 locations worldwide.
