• Job Details: Datacenter Engineering Group (DEA-PIV) is looking for talents for System Debugging to secure the SW quality by continuous integration. In this position, you will work with various functional teams (BIOS/BMC, Silicon, board design, OSV, etc) to enable Intel latest hardware platforms and technologies. You will have a chance to touch cutting-edge silicon, Windows and Linux OS and server hardware technologies and see how to apply those technologies in big internet companies. Your responsibilities will include IPU (Intel patch updates) but not be limited to: - Be responsible for triage, debug and identification of the root cause of hardware and software failures for IPU platform and design of experiment to narrow down potential root cause areas. - Regularly publish IPU sysdebug report to key IPU stakeholders and DPG senior leaders and managers - Perform sighting analysis and summarize systemic IPU key learnings and feedback to stakeholders - Be a gate keeper to ensure a healthy product/platform quality release to internal and external customers with sighting indicators meeting IPU PV grading criteria. - Use learnings to drive changes in design & verification methodologies for future projects Qualifications: - Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technology - Deep understanding of CPU micro-architecture, firmware, platform hardware and software technologies such as RAS and security features. - Through understanding of Operating System architectures with hands-on experience on server/ system software development and/ or validation: BMC, firmware, kernel, OS. - Proven capability to debug complex hardware/software issues related to BIOS, OS, Hardware, as well as cross domain interaction. - Creative thinker and proven track of record as a strong technical problem solver. - Excellent communication skills who can effectively influence technical experts in PRT/microarchitecture/server ingredient teams. Be familiar with validation & debug tools such as ITP, I2C bus analyzers, CScripts, IDVT, Intel SSU, and system logs.
