Job DescriptionInfosys is looking for an Unix Application Support Specialist. Candidate who will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of application support in production environment including releases, deployments, incident, problem and change management workflows and product administration activities assisting 24x7. Create a detailed run-book for support activities and build relevant automations. Candidate will be involved in coordinating the support operations from client location and working with client partners and gathering their requirements and working with offshore team for delivering the same. Candidate will also be participating in any of the post release/deployment testing activities related to the enhancements delivered by the team and will also have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Nashville, TN or be willing to relocate to the area.US citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, we are unable to sponsor at this time.At least 4 years of Information Technology experience. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in UNIX/LINUX, Shell Scripting, and ITIL process.Experience with Oracle and/or PL/SQL is required.Utilize available Application Performance monitoring tools to isolate root cause issues.At least 2 years of experience in application production support.Preferred Qualifications:Agile Methodologies.Good Analytical and Communication skills.Planning and Co-ordination skills.Automation and Knowledge of Tools like SPLUNK, IP SOFT & APPDYNAMICS. Able to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in conjunction with a solution-oriented attitude.
