Our client is now searching for an additional motivated and enthusiastic developer to build the off-shore team here in Mysuru, India working alongside the UK team.

Overview:
The Manual QA Tester is responsible for ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle working with cross-functional teams to test features from a functional and component perspective and also integrated with other systems. This role is responsible to make sure all components within the client system value chain contributing to the product outcome and user experience work appropriately.

They will work under the guidance of a Senior Tester Analyst in the UK and will be expected to collaborate very closely with other teams and developers in order to provide a holistic view of the systems and how they integrate with each other.

Will maintain test team standards and processes and promote a positive view of the test function.

This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

Analyze requirements to identify all relevant tests scenarios and edge cases.
Create and document comprehensive and well-structured test cases.
Identify potential issues and escalate to the team and prime testers
Recognize routine tasks as learning opportunities and seek ways to improve/automate
Execute tests during the development lifecycle, at sprint and release level
Executing all levels of testing regularly and no less than at every sprint:
System – functional,
Integration,
Regression,
Logging test executions and tracking defects.
Support on the investigation and troubleshoot of issues and non-conforming software.

Technical & People Skills:
Knowledge of different software development and testing life cycle methodologies
Experience in using JIRA, GITHUB, Powershell
Experience in using Postman
Knowledge of database interrogation skills (SQL)
Basic understanding of API calls and JSON structures
Understanding of Test Case Scenarios
Familiar with automation principles
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Attention to detail

Knowledge & Experience:
Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes, and testing techniques (e.g. black and white box testing)
Understanding of system integration testing methodologies, defect tracking systems, and Quality Assurance process
Knowledge of Agile software development principles.
