JOB PURPOSE
Respond promptly during incident / accident / emergencies at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport & its near vicinity within the stipulated statutory response time as per International Civil Aviation Organization & Director General of Civil Aviation guidelines to provide fire fighting, rescue and first aid services to save life & property and restore normalcy at the earliest.
Function as the Crew In-Charge of the CFTs.
Successfully handle the maneuvering and Operation of the CFTs during emergencies by coordinating with the ops commander.
Conduct regular drills in shift, carryout periodical testing and inspection of Fire safety equipment kept in the CFT.
Assist the passengers/Occupants to a place of safety during emergencies.
Function as FWT in-charge, keep vigil over the Aircrafts during landing, take off & taxying for aircraft related incidents/accidents at Fire Watch Tower (FWT).
Functions the roles and responsibility at FWT as per DAEP, coordinate with external agencies and maintain the log book.
Ensure healthiness of communication systems and keep in touch with AOCC & main FWT during emergency
Upkeep of firefighting installations at terminals for smooth handling of airport emergencies.
Function as Fire safety in-charge at T1 in shift.
Coordinate with P&E, IT for timely rectification of defects in the FDP systems at terminals

To lead all aspects of airfield and/or structural firefighting operations area. Records
To train firefighters in all aspects of airfield and/or structural firefighting operations by optimum utilization of fire fighting equipment’s of CFTs Reports & Records
To supervise and/or carry out the inspection, testing and daily checks/maintenance of all Crash Fire Tenders and Domestic Fire Tenders and life safety equipment. Log book & Records
To train the CFT operators on stress situation handling /driving respond in emergency. Records
To train on Domestic fire tenders operations for structural/vegetation fire fighting . Logbook & Records
To ensure the return of equipment to a state of normal stand-by readiness after every use. Logbook.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
ï‚§ 10+2
ï‚§ Certification in First Aid from St Johns Ambulance
ï‚§ Basic Fire Fighting Course from ICAO recognized Institute. (Desirable)
ï‚§ Certification in Train the Trainer Rosenbauer CFT driving and operation.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
ï‚§ Min. 10 years of continuous experience in Aviation / Industrial Fire Services out of which 5 years should be in supervisory grade preferably in ARFF Operations/Fire Prevention.
ï‚§ Should possess good communication, report writing and firefighting and rescue training skills.
ï‚§ Good proficiency in Firefighting strategy and tactics.
