About the Role:
This is a (Senior/ Eng 3) Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) position in the IOT Security product group. This role focuses on development of automation framework and scripts, tools, harnesses, and specialized tests for end-to-end and customer scenarios testing of the products from sensor to cloud to UI. This role requires to think strategically on how the products would be deployed in IOT/ ICS/ Healthcare environments and accordingly define the test strategy and methodology. SDETs may also participate actively in design and code reviews, and collaborate with the cloud and UI teams to assure end-to-end system functionality. They may also work with customers and product management to understand use cases and end to end scenarios.
Designing, developing and supporting required effective and reusable test automation framework, scripts, tools and test setup for the development team for IOT PG to use for developing tests effectively; the goal is to minimize manual testing and reuse frameworks that exist
Identify and write tests across platforms such as majorly Windows and less Linux to ensure the quality of the system as a whole – focusing on end-to-end test/ customer scenarios inclusive of API and UI automation as it pertains to IOT/ICS domain.
Define Test strategy, methodology and develop required tooling for internal teams, third party test team, lab testing and certification process with manufacturer.
Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to control risk, improve quality, and streamline IOT product release cycles
Work with customers and product management to understand end to end product use cases.
Requirements for the candidate:
Relevant Automation experience level 4 to 12 years.
Experience in defining test strategy and methodology for end point products • Proven experience in test automation, extensible test framework design and development, test planning, test case designing and test execution
Hands on experience on writing quality code in any scripting or programming language. Having knowledge on Python is a plus.
Should have exposure to any of the Web supported tools/framework such as Selenium, Django, or web2py
Knowledge and exposure of IOT security environment is a plus.
Hands on experience to any of the CI/CD tools and process such as Jenkins / Bamboo
Ability to Collaborate with the peers, development team and program managers in a distributed environment effectively
Knowledge of Ansible, Jira, TestRail, is good to have.
Knowledge of enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as AWS is a plus
