Position Overview

YOU as a Staff software engineer will have the opportunity to collaborate with

the brightest engineering minds and work on cutting-edge technology in the area of networking.

Staff Software engineer study/design/code/test new product requirements that can be functional or infrastructure related. Also the engineer participates in customer calls and shares plan of action or understands an issue in depth.

The engineer would lead a small group of junior engineers to deliver a specific task on time.

Role Responsibilities

Development – The developer should be capable of efficiently implement a design on schedule with high quality. He or she is expected to be able to review new and old code for errors, security hazards, performance implications, and maintainability.

Design - Extensive experience with design & development of medium sized features. Capable of investigating the possible impact that new features and components will have on a large, diverse software system. Must be able to clearly and concisely define technical issues. The developer must be completing concept, functional, and design specifications with an appropriate level of detail for the audience.

• Work closely with Manager and Architects to meet the respective product goals.
• Create functional specifications for key product modules and components
• Design and Implement new features independently and through others
• Take part in addressing customer issues.
• Ensure the work performed meets the quality standards within acceptable time schedules and commitments
• Mentor & lead Junior members of the team

Basic Qualifications

• You should have 8+ year’s relevant experience.
• B.E. or B.Tech or M.Tech Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with Networking and cloud based management & monitoring of networking products
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, Linux system.
• Expert knowledge in one of Java/Golang gained through extensive product development experience
• Comfortable with Cloud & SaaS development preferably on AWS
• Comfortable with Micro-services & ReST based development
• Follows test driven development and be comfortable developing automation test suits for respective area.

• Willing to work on diverse products and projects, each requiring different technologies, methodologies and approaches.
• Willing to continuously learn and improve in a dynamic environment through external courses, internal courses, mentoring with highly experienced and skilled engineers and/or on-the-job training on projects.
• Knowledge on SD-WAN or AppSec will be a plus.
