Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities will include but will not be restricted to
• Designing, Implementing, and maintaining reliable cloud infrastructure.
• Testing and implementing cloud-based services.
• Monitoring and optimising cloud performance.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in cloud infrastructure and services.
• Overseeing and coordinating the delivery of solutions
• Providing support for security policies and procedures
• Securing code quality and maintaining code integrity
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation
• Ensuring all best practices in terms of cloud are adhered to from observability, maintainability, auditability and security
• Ensuring the team identifies potential clous optimisations and potential cost savings

Requirements:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field or any other certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering,
• Proven experience in the development and implementation of secure cloud solutions
• Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms in Amazon Web Services (AWS) including their features, capabilities, and limitations.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python/Bash and programming languages such as Java/C++
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing, Subnetting, routing, and Firewall configuration.
• Proficient in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes, which enable automation and orchestration of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Skilled in monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Stack driver, and ELK Stack.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues using a range of diagnostic and problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
