We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in fintech to join our talented team. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers and overseeing the successful delivery of our fintech projects. Your expertise in fintech will be critical in driving our technology initiatives and ensuring the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance financial solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Drive the development and implementation of projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and develop strategic technical solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the fintech space, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and ensure compliance.
- Establish and maintain engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, testing methodologies, and deployment processes.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery within specified parameters.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in a managerial role, leading and managing engineering teams in the fintech industry.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of fintech technologies, platforms, and industry standards.
- Extensive knowledge of Python, Go, and NodeJS.
- Working knowledge of frontend and mobile apps.
- Expertise in any RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and protocols.
- Understands CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
