We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:
This role will function as EDP developer for Mesh Services. The team is responsible to design & deliver a collection of components which facilitates and unifies multiple data stores with mesh services and access layers and strong governance to provide a coherent shared data platform. The role will also extend to support any Adhoc inquiries from users, internal regulators & Compliance team.

The role mandates to have an expertise in Java, Messaging Platform, SQL server and knowledge of Hadoop.

What will you be doing?

• Develop various API frameworks for Data Fabric and Services using Java/J2ee
• Delivering solutions within a DevOps environment with a relentless focus on automation of testing and deployment via appropriate tools
• Collaborate with other teams and provide support for any application issues reported
• Ensure the Team objectives and priorities are well understood.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in Java development .
• Proficient in Hadoop , Spark and Kafka .
• Micro Services design and development using Spring/Hibernate/JPA and SQL server
• Knowledge of Maven, GIT, TeamCity, Nexus, SonarCube, IntelliJ Idea

Skills that will help you in the role :

• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging frameworks
• Hadoop
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)

Knowledge of using AWS cloud platform apps is good to have
