1. Drive the business strategy to achieve targets
Drive business from HDFC vehicle loans, cards Vertical & Captive business to deliver topline (premium) targets, bottom line targets, healthy ratios such as LRs, Commission Ratios, COR, productivity etc.
Size opportunity in the verticals, take strategic decisions on products, processes, commissions, and expenses, keeping overall profitability and growth in mind for the vertical, plan sales targets and execute sales to deliver numbers.
Drive business and Increase BAGIC share amongst the 6 non-life partners, though relationship management, , product innovation and sales execution.
Identify priorities for HDFC business and participate and contribute in formulate strategy (through AOP and LRP) to build sustainable and profitable business growth
Identify opportunities, across vehicle loans segments and cards channels to make inroads for BAGIC through liaising and relationship management, creation of sales plans, customized profitable product, simplify processing and efficient backend support and detailed sales execution to increase sales from the channel.
Regular engage with key National stakeholders across bank central office and Zonal/ Regional heads for Vehicle loans and Cards in geography to influence positive business of BAGIC amongst other competition.
Identify and recommend digitization and technological enhancements to improve efficiency of processes and systems in department.
To manage and coordinate with key stakeholders of finance, audit , compliance for regulatory requirements of HDFC Bank and BAGIC.
Provide strategic inputs to, UW, Product development, COE & I.T to ensure smooth running of the end-to-end processes in the vertical and enable them on developing new products and processes.
Implement and drive internal teams through campaigns for achieving the desired targets.
Constantly Study the HDFC business, competition, customer segmentation, loss ratios and implement the correct sales strategies, product mix, processing.
Drive growth through regional depending on potential & profitability of the geography keeping the LR in mind.
Recommend manpower requisitioning and positioning as per requirement keeping productivity in mind.
2. Relationship Management
Maintain relationship with National Heads and Zonal/ Regional heads of Vehicle loans & Cards channel at HDFC to understand their requirements, manage any escalations and provide customized products as required to drive high sales and business
Specify sales targets as per geography potential and provide the requisite training and support in achieving the same.
Identify new products requirements/ customization as required in existing products and work with the product team accordingly as well as ensure smooth processing of all aspects leading up to the product roll-out
Coordinate with internal teams to develop, implement, integrate, and ensure smooth processing business from the vertical.
3. Functional Review
Regular reviews with supervisor and Country Head – Banca
Decide targets for BAGIC Regional Heads - basis opportunity mapping and offer strategic intervention on a regular basis for higher growth and profitability.
Regular Review with BAGIC regional Heads for business and performance in the respective geography and offer strategic intervention and guidance whenever required.
Regularly liaise with Bank TPP team, Business and Channel Heads of the Bank and jointly review business progress.
Regular review with Bank TPP and channels to push business and monitor deliverables and results
Discuss, negotiate, and decide on commission with Bank TPP and channel heads keeping overall growth and profitability in mind.
Periodic review commission reconciliation, audit queries and other financial recon with Bank
Decide and launch campaigns for internal teams to push business
Regular meeting with Finance, Audit, Ops, IT & COE for smooth functioning of vertical, and update on new developments within the Bank and give strategic inputs
Plan marketing / brand campaigns within the Bank and Bank’s customers to gain higher visibility of BAGIC within HDFC Bank and its customers.
4. Team Management
Participate in recruitment process to identify right talent for various positions within the team
Mentor vehicle loans &Cards regional heads and decide targets basis opportunity mapping in respective geography.
Motivate and guide the team to give their best, push business across the geographies, and offer strategic intervention internally and externally, whenever required.
Assign team members with appropriate KRAs and KPIs and set clarity on performance expectation
Support team members in delivering their responsibilities in business as usual by keeping them motivated. resolving their concerns/ challenges if any and maintaining a positive team spirit
Build and enhance capabilities within the team by providing required technical and functional trainings
Focus on training and development of the team by organizing periodic training programs in collaboration with Sales Training team.
