The Workday product owner will be accountable for the overall ownership of the Workday product strategy, vision, roadmap and value creation. The role will work closely with our GPO community and our supporting HR IT organisation, to deliver digital HR transformation and improved employee experience across our HR business processes.
The Workday product owner will continuously monitor and deliver improvements to the digital experience across the business processes and take ownership for monitoring the value realisation and reviewing the value against competitor products.
Create and take ownership for our Workday strategy to ensure product value realization, through consultation with the GPOs, vendor product development and digital project delivery.
Serve as a strong consultative partner to the global process owners, to holistically take responsibility for the employee experience in the HCM product and continuously review and improve process performance and service delivery
Take ownership for the user experience and make changes where necessary, fully understanding the global view of the product and ensure all users across all geographies have an excellent product experience
Working closely with the Adoption Lead and GPOs, monitor and drive faster adoption and utilisation of deployed business processes globally
Work with the ServiceNow product owner and other platform owners to ensure a flawless experience for employees across our core HR platforms
Own the development of cross-functional process/employee journey development
Develop and maintain the HR technology process landscape document to ensure that HR & HRIT understand where duplication of technology exists and influence the HCM vendor to deliver appropriate functionality that supports our business processes
Participate in all product/platform related project activities
Play a meaningful role in the HR technology governance process and represent the HCM platform in this forum, ensuring appropriate preparation for monthly and our bi-annual CoE meetings
Ensure configuration is reviewed regularly, to delivery product value realisation and process efficiency across all key business processes
Take the lead on any significant feature release, partnering with the GPO to review the appropriateness of the feature in the business process landscape
Facilitate all product meetings with the Workday account lead, including annual & quarterly business reviews and monthly catch ups
The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter who is passionate about people and digital culture.
Experience related to the implementation and management of enterprise HCM applications/platforms
Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships and working collaboratively with our global process owners and business partners
Experience of managing multiple projects/programmes in a large global organisation
Project planning, management, risk monitoring and mitigation
Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities
Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
Ability to motivate and set the direction for a (not direct report) team
Experience of working in a complex, global matrix organisation
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in HR information system management
Experience of Workday specifically
Solid understanding of other HR Systems
Knowledge of Agile methodology of experience working in an Agile way
