About the Team

You will have the opportunity to develop sophisticated software for automating ARM’s physical IP production flow. As a software engineer, you will work closely with production engineers and learn about the latest semiconductor manufacturing processes. Responsibilities will grow over time and the software engineer will have the opportunity to become a domain expert.
What will I be accountable for?
You will be accountable for developing, testing, deploying and supporting Physical IP creation (IPC) software tools that will enable Arm Physical IP Standard Cell and Memory engineers to develop high quality IP products efficiently. IPC software tools are plugged into an automated workflow system that produces repeatable and high-quality physical IP products which makes it critical that they adhere to high quality standards.
What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?
Bachelors (BS) or Masters (MS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science - although other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.
Experience using and/or developing VLSI CAD tools.
Experience using an object-oriented programming language C++, Java or Python
Knowledge of the TCL programming language.
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and graph-based analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to identify appropriate data structures and algorithms for a program based on their performance trade-offs.
Knowledge of general Unix scripting languages (grep, sed, awk, etc).

Hybrid Working at Arm
