Position Summary

This role is the service owner for all Aptiv Engineering System applications which includes Service Management, Operations, and Financial Management activities. You will be a leader and communicator, able to conceptualize, plan, and document effectively. You will be competent in Engineering Systems business processes in order to develop value-added services and help lead change through continuous service improvements.

Your Role

Manage supplier relationships and reviewing on a regular basis
Approval authority for adding and removing applications to/from vendor support contracts for application services
Accountable for software license management and annual purchase order creation
Lead resolution teams around escalated issues and understand the business impact of these application outages
Build relationships with business process owners and understand Business Continuity options
Assure application monitoring is in place, identify and take actions on trends impacting application performance
Work with IT Finance to build annual budgets and subsequent management of forecast and actual spend
Understand cost drivers for IT Services and allocate costs for IT Services consumption
Assess and monitor industry developments to ensure awareness of challenges and solutions
Support Client Teams for IT service demand planning and management activities
Create and maintain the catalog of existing IT Services

Your Background

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science/engineering/IT or
10+ years of relevant work experience
Good understanding of ITIL best practices
Strong knowledge of engineering applications and toolsets (i.e. TeamCenter, NX, Catia, Ansys, etc.)
Knowledge of engineering processes and procedures such as Product Lifecycle Management, CMII, Bill of Process, Bill of Design, CAD, CAE, etc
Knowledge of IT service support in outsourced environments
Ability to lead complex, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives
Knowledge of budgeting practices
Working knowledge of the service based IT Model
Experience in performance measuring and monitoring experience
Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate
Experience in application monitoring
