Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) Organization with American Express is responsible for developing and monitoring Machine Learning models for predicting Consumer and Commercial behaviours such as credit risk, fraud risk, spending and revolve. These models are used for key business decisions made across the customer life cycle to manage risk and accelerate profitable business growth. Underpinning our growth as a company are the tools and capabilities that ensure we prudently take and manage risk in a viable way.
The Commercial New Accounts Decision Science team within CFR is responsible for developing and monitoring Machine Learning models for predicting individual and commercial credit risk at the time of underwriting commercial card members. The team works very closely with Strategy partners, data science and technology teams to develop, implement, monitor, and manage risk models.
Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will lead a team of 2-3 analysts and will be responsible to developing and monitoring Machine Learning models for predicting individual and commercial credit risk for commercial portfolio. These models are used for key business decisions at time of customer underwriting to manage risk and accelerate profitable business growth.
The incumbent would be part of the Commercial Decision Science team reporting into Director - Global Commercial Decision Science and will lead a team of 2-3 risk management professionals. The incumbent is expected to provide thought leadership and manage commercial risk models.
