This job is part of the Alstom India Supply Chain organisation, located in Bangalore, India
The India Supply Chain covers all the Alstom businesses in India: Rolling Stock & Components, Services, Signaling and Systems & Infrastructure.
The key missions of the India Supply Chain are:
To create a robust and agile Supply Chain to support the Growth plans in the region
To align India Supply Chain practices to the Global Supply Practices adopted for Alstom worldwide.
To standardise processes across all businesses and sites in India
To lead Supply Chain “métiers” and competencies
The India Global Supply Chain is based on 3 major sub-processes:
Supply Chain Planning & Hard Inventory
Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management
Logistics, transport & Customer Services
The India Supply Chain Metier will drive improvements across all three sub-processes
Supply Chain Head, Systems & Infrastructure Projects
You shall be reporting hierarchically to Business MD and functionally to the India Supply Chain Director. As a Supply Chain Head, you will be responsible for:
Leading the Supply Chain organisation for S&I Projects across the country.
Bringing Supply Chain expertise and resources to the projects & representing Supply Chain in S&I Project committee.
Supporting the Projects to achieve QCD commitments.
Driving improvements in all three sub-processes which will be reflected in the KPI score card for S&I Supply Chain Operations
Drive improvements in the APSYS maturity score for all project sites
Providing Technical know-how in design and execution of Supply Chain projects either in greenfield sites and/or brownfield sites.
Working with other metiers on cross-functional initiatives to support the growth in India Business
Hierarchical Reporting and functional reporting to the India Supply Chain Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING:
Developing a Supply Chain organisation for S&I Projects across the country. Manage recruitment, workload organization, KPI's and individual targets, development, team animation and information cascading
Planning & Hard Inventory: Manage the full set of processes from Project Supply Chain planning to inventory management to ensure material availability for installations as per project mile-stones.
Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management: Implement and run end to end processes from order placement in ERP to Supplier delivery. Manage Supplier operational interface (information flows, scheduling agreements/call-offs, Performance reviews, Capacity anticipation and control, expediting) to ensure on time delivery (OTIF). Develop local actions plans in collaboration with Sourcing and Supplier Quality to mitigate challenges in supplies.
Logistics & Transportation: Implement and run Logistics standards for physical material flow (goods reception, warehousing, issue to installation, and shipping). Ensure optimization of warehousing space in line with project mile-stones.
Support the Site Supply Chain teams in improving the APSYS maturity score through process improvements and roll out of Supply Chain tools – Kinaxis, ASCOT, GSI WMS
ERP Implementation and Master data quality: Drive system initialization and data integrity. Ensure key users are in place to support critical processes and users.
Develop the Project Supply Chain Leaders at the sites to manage projects efficiently
To be the first point of contact for all Supply Chain Metier requirements placed by other functions
Ensure that personnel operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
SKILLS & EDUCATION
Degree holder in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business management, or associated discipline
Languages: English fluent, Local Indian Languages appreciated
Adequate exposure to usage of ERP tools, SAP preferred
Experience: Should have al-least 15 years of relevant experience in managing Supply Chain for Infrastructure projects in India and should have dealt with Indian Contractors and vendors.
Should have lead and created a Supply Chain Organisation in a greenfield site.
