Responsibilities:

• Be a member of a small group of people to think, strategize and execute a transformation for the cause.
• Define a technology roadmap for the product you will own.
• Set up, measure, and optimise engineering processes for productivity.
• Hire and build teams, and influence the people processes for the continuous evolution of the team
• Mentor and develop engineers for effective delivery of business goals
• Manage operations to monitor and ensure SLA adherence and continuous reduction in KTLO
• Collaborate with Academics, Product Managers, Content Operations and Business team members.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software product development.
• You thrive in building and developing great teams, people, and great products.
• Learner and looking to explore uncharted territories to solve problems.
• Must have a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• You are either an experienced manager or a senior individual contributor with strong
• people skills and leadership experience.
• Passionate about software engineering best practices
• Hands-on technical leader with a minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.
• A proven track record of leading the architecture and delivery in a consumer internet domain.
• Must have exposure to leading product development and engineering practices and developing systems & web applications from scratch.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages, REACT tools, including React.js, Webpack, webhooks, Enzyme, Redux, & Flux.
• Experience with user interface design.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP Request/Response Model, and offline storage
• Experience in distributed systems, highly scalable products, performance & reliability
