Role Purpose:
This role is part of Risk Information Delivery’s Retail Acelerator team and will work across a wide range of responsibilities including engaging with retail business partners to drive the transition to the new data and architecture strategy, including assisting with simplification and standardisation of information delivery, assisting with the training and support of business partners, ensuring they understand risk concepts and the new visualisation and analytics tools. From time to time providing ad-hoc reporting and analytics support to a variety of stakeholders, to be used as a basis of design work to move these requests to standardised reporting.
What will your day look like
Deliver high quality analytical outputs in a timely and accurate manner with minimal rework required
Employ strong problem solving skills to determine the appropriate response to information requests, pro-actively addressing any issues and concerns.
Contribute to the provision of simplified, consistent, efficient, cost-effective and value-adding risk information delivery services
Engage key stakeholders to ensure full understanding of business partner requirements, helping to shape deliverables within the broader risk information delivery strategy
Develop and maintain collaborative business partner relationships, managing expectations and concerns through open, regular communication lines
Follow and implement an enterprise approach and methodology for risk information delivery, ensuring it is embedded across risk business partners, through training and educational toolsets.
Work collaboratively and share knowledge across teams.
Ensure policies and processes relevant to the role are complied with
Quickly resolve and escalate issues
What will you bring?
5+ years of working experience in SQL and SAS suite of applications, preferably with certified SAS skills.
Working experience of qlik development, R, Python can be an added advantage.
Previous working experience in a bank in the area of regulatory reporting/ credit risk reporting or any retail related product reporting and data management space is preferable.
Mid to high-level knowledge of Excel for reporting, knowledge of BI tools being an advantage
Appropriate tertiary qualification including but not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, and Systems Information
Excellent relationship management and influencing skills
Confident collaborator across the business and within their own specialist domain
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and confidence with engaging and presenting to senior management
Problem solving, data management and analytical capabilities
Excellent time management - the ability to prioritise conflicting issues in a professional/risk based manner
