The Senior Product Analyst will play a critical role in building and executing 15Five’s product strategy. They will build capabilities for data-driven decisions in the R&D organization and surface key opportunities for product/feature investments.
This includes demystifying use cases and user behavior, designing & tracking product success metrics, building self-serve tools for our R&D teams, and up-leveling them on hypotheses-driven analyses.
Outcome 1: Drive shared understanding of how customers engage with the product in the first 2 months
Tell meaningful customer stories through data visualizations to build a shared understanding of how customers are engaging with the product
Become the expert on 15Five’s app and mobile-web customer experiences, delivering insights and advocating for recommendations that result in customer acquisition and engagement
Lead advanced, ad-hoc analytics projects to understand user behavior and long-term trends to identify opportunities for improving user acquisition, engagement, experience, value, and retention
Collaborate with UX research to design and evaluate surveys and surface quantitative insights on customer experience
Outcome 2: Build product & feature health metrics in the first 4 months
Define core product and feature metrics and develop reporting and self-serve experiences in Tableau to guarantee consistent and efficient access to these metrics
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics Engineering to ensure proper tracking and instrumentation of new product initiatives and features
Promote data-driven decision-making by mining data across multiple sources and developing metrics that cut beyond surface-level
Manage the design, implementation, and evaluation of experiments and develop and socialize a rigorous culture of experimentation across all product teams
Outcome 3: Partner with R&D teams on strategic product/feature decisions in the first 6 months
Partner with product teams to advise on product direction and strategy, roadmaps, feature prioritization, metrics and goals, feature prioritization, and user journeys, and to accelerate decision making
Become integral to the end-to-end product development process: from informing product requirements to evaluating the impact of our products post-launch
Outcome 4: Develop PMs, PDs and Engineers to self-serve data for their own decisions by the first anniversary
Become a leader, finding opportunities to develop other team members
Play a foundational role in building a data culture at 15Five by defining standards and practices for how product groups work with data and providing a strong voice for a data-informed point of view
Collaborate cross-functionally with other analytics teams at 15Five to share best practices, insights and innovations
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
4+ years experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or data engineer
Experience at a high-growth early stage tech company is a plus
Experience with Reforge is a plus
Technical skills: SQL, Tableau, R or Python
Stats / Analytical: Foundational skills in regression, predictive modeling, forecasting, time series analysis, and clustering and applying those to answer business needs
Communication: Hypotheses-driven requirement gathering and presenting to C-suite
Prioritization skills: Balancing customer needs and business priorities, and short-term needs and long-term strategy
Domain knowledge: Exposure to tech, specifically B2B SaaS is a plus
Relationship builder: Building partnerships with engineers, product managers, designers and business managers to get projects to done
Positive and adaptable: Demonstrates flexibility and constructive attitude in face of shifting business needs and personal responsibilities
Impact-focused: Balancing value to effort, and getting things done
